People of Wal-Mart, K-Mart, public transit, etc.

Taking a trip to the store in the 21st century can be…interesting. I don’t go into the store for the sole purpose of buying things anymore. I also love public places for the people watching. has for years been a popular web site for the circus we all call Wal-Mart. Unfortunately, the worst of the worst  and the strangest of the strange doesn’t just invade WalMart. The worst and the strangest is everywhere. Sometimes I think I have seen everything I need to see for my age, but the public never disappoints. To my surprise, there’s also a song dedicated to the people of Wal-Mart

I wholeheartedly feel sorry for the woman whose husband caused her family to get banned from K-Mart. While some of the things he did were funny, like asking to put a bag of M&Ms on layaway. Some of his other shots at being a comedic genius were a little over the top. Of course this guy started this whole thing as a joke, but seriously, how far is too far? Terrorizing K-Mart for seven consecutive months is a little extreme and obnoxious.

This blog post would not be complete if I did not at least mention urban public transit. functions much like People of Public Transit makes me remember my own bizarre experience on public transit. I was maybe 15 on the subway in D.C., when my friends and I noticed a strange character standing. He was wearing Flavor Flav attire, clock around his neck and all. I realized at that moment that public transport could be tres, tres bizarre.

You never know who and what you will encounter out in the world every day. I don’t think too many people stop to realize how many types of people there really are.  No matter what, just keep on dancing on life’s path, you’re sure to find something that makes you laugh or raise your eyebrows.
